Microsoft SSO for ReadingWise

A Quick Guide to Setting Up Microsoft Single Sign-On SSO for ReadingWise

This step-by-step guide is designed to help you integrate ReadingWise into your school's Microsoft environment, so that your staff and learners can log in using their Microsoft accounts.

By following the instructions below, you'll ensure that your pupils and staff can efficiently access ReadingWise.

Check whether Single Sign-On is working

Visit our login page and click the ‘Sign in with Microsoft’ button.

If this works, then all is well. Not Working? Please follow the steps below.

Authenticate the use of third-party apps

You may need to authenticate the use of ReadingWise as a third-party app within your Microsoft admin area.

  1. Log into your Microsoft Entra admin center > Applications > Enterprise applications. If you don’t see the ReadingWise app in your list within 'All applications,' search for it in the search bar.
  2. Select the 'ReadingWise app' and check that the 'Application ID' and 'Object ID' have been completed.
  3. Select 'Permissions' with the 'Security section' of the ReadingWise app.
  4. Select the blue button titled 'Grant admin consent for (your school's name).'
  5. Sign in with your Microsoft account.
  6. Select 'Accept.'
  7. Refresh the page to get the latest permissions consented for the application.

You should now be able to log in using SSO, authenticating the use of SSO for anyone else using this domain.
