Caroline joined the team in March 2014.
As a Science Teacher she worked in a rural Secondary School in Papua New Guinea, gaining an insight into the difficulties encountered by learners when tackling the curriculum in their third language. Three years in Uganda furthered her understanding of issues around accessing education, work and health care and the lifelong consequences of these barriers.
In the UK Caroline has worked in Secondary Schools both as a Teacher and in Learning Support. She has experienced, first hand, students who are unable to access the curriculum through literacy difficulties with a range of causes, some understood and some not. After three years working in education technology she has come to ReadingWise. She is excited at the prospect of playing a part in further developing an excellent tool to help learners and educators make barriers to literacy a thing of the past.
