Kirsten Sproul-Brown

Community Administrator and Trainer

Kirsten Sproul-Brown

After studying Music and Special Educational Needs, Kirsten spent time working at an Independent school in Scotland teaching Music and Starting to create a Senior School Learning Support Department. Her duties included Pastoral Care from Nursery to S6.

After there, Kirsten decided to go into the state education system working as a Learning Support Teacher with a focus on Literacy. She became an Active Literacy trainer working to train Teaching staff and create Twilight training workshops in Aberdeenshire Council.

Kirsten has more recently gained experience working in Primary and Secondary schools in Middle Management and comes to the team after being Principal Teacher of Literacy at a school in Aberdeen City.

Kirsten is passionate about education, languages and literacy in particular. She is delighted to be working with the ReadingWise programme as it provides an opportunity to help support students who are struggling with literacy and to support staff to provide an individualised programme.
