Cordelia trained in drama at Kingston University; after graduating with first class honours she co-founded the theatre company Needless Alley, where she used her skills both as artistic director and performer. In this role she organised and directed workshops for students from Kingston University and Manchester Metropolitan University. These were aimed to help bring a more creative approach to their academic work and in doing so, to enable them to develop more confidence and understanding of their potential as individuals and members of a team.
These experiences inspired Cordelia to move into the world of education. She has gained experience working in the SEN remit of Early Years and Key Stage 2, witnessing the everyday challenges that many children face in learning to read and recognising how literacy affects issues of self-worth and comprehension. She is delighted to be working with ReadingWise, helping to deliver a programme that will make a real difference to people’s lives.
