Sam Milsom

Community Assistant and Trainer

Sam Milsom

After completing his Masters by Research at the University of Reading, Sam co-founded Time/Image Online, where he catalogued and digitised the British Council’s collection of war-era films, releasing them online as an fully interactive educational and historical resource.

He then joined Code Club, a nationwide network of after-school clubs that teaches children to code. As their first employee, he began by assisting schools, managing their community of volunteers and helping them to grow into an international organisation that also provides teacher training. As the company grew in its first successful years, he was intricately involved in its development, moving into an Operations Manager role.

Sam understands the needs and challenges met by students and schools alike, having worked in a variety of SEN schools and Pupil Referral Units. Being a CELTA-qualified English teacher, he has a strong interest in EAL, and has volunteered teaching English to refugees recently arrived in the UK.

He has always had a passion for education and believes that technology should be a great tool and enabler - and hopes to be to help ReadingWise reach as many children and adults as possible.
